Safety patrol
Fifth-graders have an opportunity to show their responsibility and leadership as a member of the school safety patrol. Working with adults, the safety patrol helps students and parents safely cross nearby streets before and after school. Interested students may apply with the safety patrol supervisor.
Boys and Girls Club
The Boys and Girls Club offers positive after-school and summer programs and activities for first-grade and older students.

Athletics
Athletics are a fun way for students to learn sportsmanship and get exercise. Fourth- and fifth-grade girls and boys can participate in the following sports at Ogden:
- Fall – volleyball
- Winter – basketball
- Spring – track
YMCA after-school enrichment
The YMCA offers after-school enrichment sessions at Ogden Elementary School. For schedules and information, call 360-885-9622.
Yoga club
This non-competitive, confidence-building club is for fourth- and fifth-grade girls and boys who would like to learn beginning children’s yoga. Club members will explore relaxation and focusing skills as well as movement games.
The club meets for 10 sessions, beginning in October, on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. at Ogden. Enrollment is capped at 20 members on a first-come, first-served basis. To learn more, contact dance teacher Julie Sparling at Julie.Sparling@vansd.org
Choir
